The Camargo wedding was a wedding unlike any other. Planned within just a few months, eager to be wed, Erika + Rey enjoyed the perfect day at Lucile’s nestled in the Old Market on a beautiful fall Sunday. A micro wedding with emphasis on documentary, lived in over perfect photos, lots of 35mm film, and spending time together on their special day.

Erika got ready at an Airbnb just down the road with her mom and grandma and shared so many precious moments between all three generations. Forgoing the wedding party meant that family was heavily involved throughout the whole day! We had moments for some bridal portraits and took time to get ready with all the finishing touches. After a short drive to the venue, we jumped right into the first look with Dad, where plenty of tears were shed. Erika got to see the final set up of the venue space and went to hang out before the ceremony. 

Rey was waiting in anticipation for Erika as he saw her for the first time down the aisle, having the most beautiful ceremony as the sun set behind the brick buildings in the Old Market. Loading the newlyweds into the car after their ceremony, they headed to a nearby park to share their vows privately. I took a few wedding portraits of them being giggly and enjoying each other’s presence for the first time that day. 

Family photos kicked off cocktail hour and the newlyweds got to enjoy a drink or two in the garden. A grand entrance, followed by dinner, speeches, cake cutting, a late night snack, and lots of dancing with a few more fun flash photos to end the night! Out came ‘Matrimonio,’ which happens to mean marriage in Spanish, but also the name of the snack honoring Rey’s Columbian heritage–the marriage of sweet guava and salty cheese. Who doesn’t love a little late night sweet and salty snack? 

It was such a joy to be present on a day full of such kind and loving humans. Photographing micro weddings and intimate wedding celebrations will always be my favorite with the intentionality and love put into such an intimate day. Check out their gallery below!
